A Plant With a Past

Sea moss is a type of seaweed, also known as Irish moss. It grows on rocks along the coastline — from Ireland to the Caribbean — and has been part of people's lives for centuries.

Long before it became a wellness trend, families would boil it into drinks or stir it into meals, simply because it made them feel good. It's not new. It's an old habit, made easy for today.

92
of 102 minerals your body needs. All found naturally in sea moss — which is why it's considered one of the most nutrient-packed plants in the ocean.

Sea moss is full of vitamins and minerals your body relies on every single day.

What It May Help With

People have used sea moss for years to feel better in a few key ways. Here's what it's best known for.

  • Gut Health Sea moss has natural fibre that helps feed the good bacteria in your gut, traditionally used to support healthy digestion.
  • Immune Support Rich in minerals and antioxidants — which is why so many people traditionally reach for sea moss to help support their immune system.
  • Thyroid Health Sea moss naturally contains iodine, a mineral your thyroid needs to function properly. Always check with your doctor if you have a thyroid condition.
  • Skin Many people take sea moss to support more hydrated, clearer-feeling skin — from the inside out, thanks to its mineral content.
  • Energy With magnesium and a range of B vitamins, sea moss is traditionally used as a natural, food-based pick-me-up — without stimulants.

This is based on how sea moss has traditionally been used, and what we know about the nutrients inside it. Sea moss is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness. Results can differ from person to person.

How to Use It

On its own, sea moss gel barely has a taste. That's the point — it slots into what you already eat and drink, instead of you having to change everything for it.

By the spoon 1–2 tablespoons a day, first thing in the morning. The simplest way to make it a daily habit.
In a smoothie Blend it into a smoothie or fresh juice. You won't taste it — but you'll feel it.
In a warm drink Stir it into warm water, oat milk or tea for a nourishing morning ritual.
In a bowl Mix it into yoghurt or overnight oats. A simple way to add minerals to a meal you already make.

"The key is doing it every day. Sea moss works best over time, not all at once."

⚠️
A note on safety

Sea moss naturally contains a significant amount of iodine. If you have a thyroid condition, an autoimmune condition, or you're pregnant or breastfeeding, please check with your doctor or midwife before you start.
